Notification

New Delhi, the 6th September, 2006

G.S.R..in exercise of the powers conferred by Rule 6 of the Explosives Rules, 2008, the Central Government hereby declares the following explosives as Authorized Explosives for export, transport, manufacture, possession, use and sale. List of Authorized fireworks Items

 
Class 7 Explosive Division/Sub Division The Safety Distance Category
(a) Sound Emitting Crackers sound level not exceeding 125 dB(AI) or 145 dB (C) pk at 4 meters distance from the point of bursting
1. Amorces in the form of caps or tapes for toy pistol consisting of dots of explosive composition as approved by the Chief Controller and in proportion not exceeding 4.5 grams of composition to every 1000 dots. 2/2 X
2. Atom Bomb made with gunpowder nitrate mixture or an explosive composition in quantity, wrapped up in a paper and tied round with string with such shape and dimension as approved by Chief Controller. 2/2 X
3. Chinese cracker having paper shells of size not exceeding 75 mm in length and 15 mm in diameter containing gunpowder nitrate mixture or an explosive composition in quantity as approved by the Chief Controller. 2/1 X
4. Maroons containing an explosive composition and of such construction, size and weight as may be approved by the Chief Controller, however they are not to be braided or combined together to form bunches or garland. 2/2 X
5. Palm Leaf Crackers made of palm leaf or paper to form triangular shape having size, construction, design and containing an explosive composition in quantity as approved by the Chief Controller. 2/2 X
6. Garland Cracker: Chinese Crackers braided together with thread in the form of a garland with the number limited in such a manner that the sound level of individual Chinese cracker of 125 dB(AI) is reduced by 5 X log 10 (N). 2/2 X
7. Combination Fireworks made of two or more of authorized items of Fireworks with sound level not exceeding 125 dB(AI) or 145 dB (C) pk at 4 meters distance from the point of bursting 2/2 X
8. Parachute made of Paper or cloth fitted with a flare or pay load and fired from a card-board mortar firmly fitted into a suitable base and containing lifting and functional composition in quantity as approved by Chief Controller. 2/2 X
9. Bicat Strips Chinese crackers braided together in a safety fuse with composition and size as required by the Armed Forces and as approved by the Chief Controller 4 X
10. Practice Hand-Grenade consisting of an explosive composition and of such design as required by the Armed Forces and approved by the Chief Controller. 4 X
11. Socket Sound Signals of such size, composition and design as approved by the Chief Controller. 2/2 X
(b) Color and Light Emitting Crackers Color and light emitting cracker (fireworks) having sound level Not exceeding 90 dB (AI).
12. Torches/pencils made of paper tube of size, dimensions (half of which is not filled with explosive composition). 2/2 X
13. Cobra Eggs/Snake pellets 2/1 X
14. Colored Matches 2/2 X
15. Combination Fireworks 2/2 X
